WATCH: New Christie ad says 'lawlessness' has spread under Obama

SALEM, N.H. -- Flashing police lights. ISIS lining up prisoners for beheadings. A heroin addict falling to the ground.

The latest campaign ad of Gov. Chris Christie's campaign for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination uses dramatic images to underscore its point: that "lawlessness" has flourished in the U.S. and across the world under Democratic President Obama.

"Sanctuary cities engulfing Americans in crime," the New Jersey governor says, speaking directly to the camera, in the 30-second ad, released Monday. "Drugs running rampant and destroying lives. ISIS beheading Christians. Iranian radicals and nuclear weapons."

Christie then turns his attention to Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton, who is embroiled in a scandal over using a private email server when she was secretary of state.

"Now, Hillary Clinton thinks the law doesn't apply to her," Christie says. "Really?"

Gov. Chris Christie speaks during a town hall meeting Monday at Sayde's Neighborhood Bar & Grill in Salem, N.H.

Christie, who trying to bounce back from lagging poll numbers to rise to the top of the 17 candidates running for the GOP's nod, stresses that the U.S. needs "a strong law enforcer as president."

"Someone who says what he means and means what he says," says Christie, who was the U.S. attorney for New Jersey from 2001 to 2008. "We can do it. Let's make America a leader again."

This was Christie's third television ad since he lauched his presidential campaign in June.

Christie also took aim at Obama during a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on Monday, saying the president's reliance on borrowing money from China helped fuel Monday's stock market turmoil.
