Macro Risk Advisors Renews at 1450 Broadway

Agency-broker Macro Risk Advisors has renewed its 3,771-square-foot lease on the 28th floor of 1450 Broadway. Asking rents for the tower floors range from $65 to over $70 per square foot.

“These are all office users that are being drawn to this building primarily due to the location and renovations,” Jonathan Fanuzzi, broker at Jones Lang LaSalle, who represented the landlord, told The Commercial Observer of the building's recent leasing activity, declining to comment on the term of Macro Risk Advisors' lease.

1450 broadwayAs reported by The Commercial Observer, The Zar Group-owned 1450 Broadway has enjoyed a flurry of leasing on the tower floors in recent weeks, including the relocation of EVA Air's New York offices to the property.

Japan's Largest Airline Touches Down in NYC

Japan's largest airline has found a new Manhattan landing strip.

The Commercial Observer has learned that All Nippon Airways is relocating from 630 Third Avenue to 8,450 square feet at 1251 Avenue of the Americas.

Arthur J. Draznin and Hunter Berman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the landlord, ATCO Properties & Management, in the 10-year, six month transaction. Junji Miyake and Mariyon Robertson of Cassidy Turley represented the tenant. Asking rent was $52 per square foot.

Greater New York Hospital Association Expands

Greater New York Hospital Association, a New York-based healthcare trade association, has signed a long-term lease expansion at the BMW Building, which is located at 555 West 57th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues, The Commercial Observer has learned.

The group has expanded for an additional 7,278 square feet on the 12th floor of the 20-story building. The organization, which has been a tenant in the building since 1988, will now occupy part of the 11th and 12th floors and the entire 15th floor, totaling more than 108,000 square feet of office space in the Midtown Manhattan office building.

“The Greater New York Hospital Association has been a client for more than 20 years and we have been able to provide flexibility for them to expand at 555 West 57th Street,” said Cushman & Wakefield Executive Vice Chairman Josh Kuriloff, who represented the tenant with Director Jodi Roberts, in a statement. “It’s personally rewarding to represent such an outstanding organization which works tirelessly every day to improve health care in this great city.”
