ICR Signs On at 685 Third Avenue

Integrated Corporate Relations, a financial communications consulting company, will relocate to 685 Third Avenue, The Commercial Observer has learned. The company has signed a 10-year lease for the entire 22,372-square-foot second floor.

Starting rent for the deal is approximately $50 per square foot, according to data from CompStak. A listing on Agorafy indicates asking rent for the space was $68 per square foot.

Eastern Consolidated Sells Murray Hill Package

Eastern Consolidated has arranged the $5.6 million sale of a three-building residential package in Murray Hill with a symbolic fig tree in its rear yard.

The buildings at 216 and 218 East 36th Street, comprising more than 12,000 square feet, were brought to market for the first time in nearly five decades, The Commercial Observer has learned.

“The buildings present a great repositioning opportunity,” said Eastern Consolidated’s Adelaide Polsinelli, who represented seller Zareno Limited Partnership with Paul Nigido.

Snøhetta Redesigns Far Rockaway Library

The en vogue Norwegian design and architecture firm Snøhetta yesterday released renderings of the new Far Rockaway Branch Library in Queens.

Located at the intersection of Mott and Central Avenues, the project will replace and double the size of the existing library, which became an ad hoc disaster relief headquarters during Superstorm Sandy almost one year ago. Snøhetta said in a prepared statement that it hopes the library will “serve as a catalyst for community transformation” in the neighborhood as it tentatively recovers from Sandy’s devastation.

After being on the other side of the computer screen, designing office spaces for top-notch New York City companies, we relocated to 183 Madison Avenue and got to experience the whole process we guide our clients through firsthand—site tours, lease negotiations, design, construction, furniture selection and, finally, seven months later, the big move.
